How to make the most out of Trist's Equipment Crafting Event

What is the event?

Trist's Equipment Crafting Event is a special event that runs for a month and returns every 4 months or so (there is no set schedule). In this event, you spend Energy to gain points, and spend points to craft 1 gear piece of your choice.

How the event works

You can only craft ONE GEAR PIECE during the entire event. Once you claim your gear, the event is finished for you.
You get 1 point for the event for every 1 energy you spend on anything. Other resources (VR glasses, Arena flags, etc) do not give points.

First, choose the set you want. Try to pick one that is harder to craft.

Red and Blue hunt (the two easiest and most farmed hunts) drop Speed, Crit, Accuracy, Destruction, Lifesteal, Counter, and Resist. Everything else is less farmed and is harder to get.

If you have a DEF scaler that you have to build, this is one of the best places to get Defense set pieces for them instead of having to farm Green hunt (the worst hunt).

2. Next, choose the piece. Try to pick one that is harder to craft.

Necklaces and Rings are the hardest to craft, boots are the third hardest, then helmets, then weapon and armor.

Therefore, craft Necks and Rings > Boots > or Helmets. Don't waste the event on crafting a weapon or armor.

3. Then, choose the main stat. If you are crafting a left side gear (Weapon, Helmet, Armor) you won't be able to choose the mainstat.

Which main stat you should choose depends on what set and piece it is & who the gear is for.

Reference the Gear Chart (LINK) to determine the best main stat.

If at any point you wish to change these selections (Set bonus, Piece, or Main stat) you will lose the points you spent choosing them, and must spend it again to choose a new option.

4. Finally, this is the main challenge with this event: Choosing your substats.

Unfortunately, you can't pick and choose individual substats, but instead must generate a set of 4 random substats each time by spending 50 event points.

When you press "Refresh Stats," two sets of substats are shown.

One is the substat you had previously, and the other is a newly generated random set of substats.

You must pick either of them (Keep your old substats vs exchange it with the new one), then press Select.

This saves the substats, and you can refresh again.

Once you are happy with the substats you have, you can press "Equipment Guaranteed" to finalize your choice and receive the gear.

You can only make 1 gear piece during the event.

The resulting gear is not upgraded and must be enhanced yourself. The substat upgrades will be random just like any other gear piece.

How to make the most of the event

DO NOT RUSH. You have a month to refine your gear substats, and you can only craft one piece.
Don't touch the event for as long as possible. You will have a few different gear piece that you may need. At any point during the month, you might craft, find, or buy them. If you were trying to make it in the Event, you will then have to spend 1200 points re-selecting the set, piece, and main stat. Therefore, you should wait as long as possible and THEN assess what piece you need the most.
Make a gear piece that you need the most & is hardest to craft. Right side gear pieces from rarely farmed hunts (Yellow, Black, Green) are the most efficient choices. At the same time, assess your units and think about what missing piece you need the most at the moment.
Reference the Gear Chart (LINK) & Keep Refreshing. Never stop refreshing until you get the perfect and highest possible set of substats. Get as close to it as possible.
Lock in your choice as LATE as possible. The later you finish, the more points you gain, and the more refreshes you can do for a chance at better substats. Lock in your gear at the last day, the last hour, or even the last 10 minutes before Maintenance begins. Squeeze as much value out of the event!
