Refers to the 0~5% random Action Gauge given to units at the start of battle. This sometimes messes up the turn order or allows a slower unit to overtake a faster one.
If someone gets “5%ed” that means they lost the match due to this mechanic.

Refers to the 15% minimum effect resistance while calculating debuffs. Unless a skill effect “Ignores Effect RES,” all debuffs have a minimum 15% chance to be resisted.
If someone gets “15%ed” that means their critical debuff failed to land due to minimum resistance, usually causing them to lose the battle.
“Just the Two of Us” bond ingame. Short for “Accuracy Bond.”
Ampleons, items used to level up gear.
Area-Of-Effect. Skills or effects that hit all enemy units, or affect all ally units.
(Less commonly) skills or effects that hit more than one unit.

“First Flutter” bond ingame. Short for Tagahels Ancient Book (E7 term).
A “Book holder” is a Caster equipped with a First Flutter bond.
Removal of positive status effects from the enemy. Or, a skill that does so.
Crowd Control. Debuffs that restrict the enemies’ actions on their turn. Includes taunt, targeted taunt, stun, sleep, and silence. “Hard CC” is synonymous with immobilizing effect.
PvE boss monsters are almost always immune to CC.
Skill Cooldown Increase.
Removal of negative status effects from the ally. Or, a skill that does so.
A PvP team composition / tactic that involves grabbing the first turn of the battle, never giving your opponent a chance to act, and killing them quickly with high AOE damage.
(Less commonly) an AOE attack.
An Off-Turn Actor who counter-attacks enemy attacks.

“Desperate Desire” bond ingame. Short for Reingar’s Special Drink (E7 term).
Effect Hit Rate.
1. Pyrium, Hydrium, Terranium, Lumium, Obsidium. Resources used to discipline units.
2. The element type of units (Flame, Nature, Water, Light, Dark).
“Element Advantage” refers to attacking or defending with the superior element (Flame > Nature > Water > Flame).

A “Gauge Push” is the manipulation of a unit's action Gauge.
“Gauge Push” done to self or an ally is a positive Action Gauge increase.
“Gauge Push” or “Gauge Pushback” done to an enemy is a negative Action Gauge decrease.
“Glazed Eyes” bond ingame.
“Gluttony’s Price” bond ingame.
Guild War. Open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Debuff effects that prevent the enemy from acting at all. Includes Stun and Sleep.
“Potential” of units ingame. Increased by Potential Breaking units with copies of the same unit.
A “speed imprint” is a unit whose team potential is Speed, often used in Cleave teams.
An effect that is not a debuff, and thus has no duration.
Examples include Skill Cooldown Increase, Extinction, Ignite (of bomb, burn, bleed, or poison), Reduce Astrogen, Injury, and others.
Unlike debuffs, Instantaneous Effects cannot be cleansed.
Some instantaneous effects such as skill cooldown increase can be resisted or blocked by Immunity.
Others such as Extinction, Ignite, or Reduce Astrogen cannot be resisted or blocked.

Mystery Contracts.
A skill that does not directly attack the enemy. Non-attack skills cannot be evaded, and will not trigger on-hit effects such as counters (because the enemy is not attacked). Non-attacks still can be blocked by immunity or resisted.
Medic units' healing abilities that target the ally are the most common types of non-attack skills.
An attacking skill may also have non-attack effects (such as Aoi’s ultimate).
Certain units such as Yibee or Theresa have skills that react specifically to non-attack skills.
Energy. Currency used to conduct PvE battles.
Not to be confused with RNG
A unit who reacts to certain enemy actions and acts outside of their own turn. Most commonly, a unit who can counter-attack in reaction to an enemy’s attack or action.
A unit in a PvP team whose job is to be the first unit to act in a match.
Openers are geared for very high speed and usually have skills that enable an aggressive team attack.
Tagging along ungeared, unleveled units to PvE stages with Shepherding teams to passively farm XP and Affection.
Friendship Points, gained when friends use your Support Members in battle.
Astrogen Powder.
1. An Epic-tier gear.
2. Superior Star-Up Crystals.
1. Rainbow Astrogen, a very rare resource. Only gained from Special Battle Pass or by sending native 5 star units.
2. The “Random Lv. 85 Legendary Equipment” in the Rainbow Astrogen shop, where Rainbow Astrogen can be exchanged for “Perfect” gear pieces (after a lot of refreshing).
Effect Resistance.
A recurring game event where Main Story CP, Element, and Hunt Material drops are increased +50%.
Gold or Catalyst drops as well as Event Story drops are not increased.
Resupply events usually happen every two weeks.
Flame, Nature, Water element units. Short for “Red, Green, Blue.”

Necklace, Ring, and Boots gear pieces. Shown on the right side of the character.
Right Side gears are harder to farm because their main stat is random.
Random Number Generator. Synonymous with the word “Luck.”
“RNG” can be blamed as the culprit of a problem if one happens to be unlucky.
A fictional deity (RNG-Jesus) whose job is to determine who gets lucky and who does not.
Purportedly, praying to this figure increases your odds.
Real Time Arena. Also called “Apex Arena” ingame.
A skill effect that increases the Action Gauge of the user.
Completing PvE stages (such as Hunts or Element farms) with less than 4 units to leave room for Piggybacking units.
“Astrogen” in battle. E7 term. Gained by using skills in battle.
“Astrogen Burst” in battle. E7 term.
The act of upgrading a gear to +3 or +6 to see if the Speed substat gets rolls.
Any gear piece with a very high Speed substat. Usually does not include Boots.
Secret Shop.
Winning Streak in the PvP Arena.
1. What your mother does for a living.
2. A unit who can strip buffs from the enemy, usually as an AOE.
“Growth Potions” ingame. Used to instantly level up units.

1. Any unit with a lot of defensive stats, and can protect or support the team.
2. Defender role units.
Recruit Contracts. AKA “Tix.”
“Green tickets” are the regular contracts. “Yellow tickets” or “Myst tickets” are the Mysterious contracts.
“The Allure of the Toe Tip” bond ingame.
A non-standard or off-meta unit who has a niche but powerful skillset, used to counter a specific team comp. Wildcard units are often used in Arena Offense teams, or in RTA, as the last picked unit.
