How can I sign up for RU Online courses? Before signing up, have a discussion with your immediate superior and agree on what your learning priorities are for this year based on your Individual Development Plan (IDP). Then choose courses that match your learning priorities. Anticipate the enrollment invitation from RU via Zimbra the sign up for your priority courses.
How do I know if I have successfully enrolled to an RU Online session? You will receive an email from RU confirming your successful registration.
I was not able to successfully register for the class I wanted this month. What should I do? If you missed out on a specific course, check the next availability of the course in the training calendar then anticipate the registration period for that course.
Do I have to take all of my online courses in a month? Not necessarily. A fresh batch of courses will be announced every month. RU Online offers the flexibility to sign up for a course you need at a schedule that works for you. Furthermore, new titles will be activated every month to keep things exciting!
What do I need to prepare before I attend a session?
a) Strong internet connectionb)A place that is conducive for learning c) Working audio and video, d)note taking materialse) Login time (15mins before start of session)
What do I need to do during the session?
a) Participate actively and follow the instructions of the facilitator.b) Make sure that your full name is displayed when you log on to Zoom.c) If you get disconnected from Zoom, please log back in immediately using the same meeting credentials. d) If the facilitator gets disconnected, a co-facilitator will step in and facilitate the class until the facilitator logs back. e) If you encounter any technical issues, please send a message to the class Viber group and/or to co-facilitator’s number. f) There will be moments during the session when you will be asked to turn on your camera.g) The facilitator will be in-charge of muting/unmuting the group, depending on the flow of discussion and activities. h) If you would like to speak, click on the “Raise hand” button in the Participants box and wait for the facilitator to acknowledge you before unmuting and speaking. i) You will be given time for a break in the duration of the session. j) Please remain in the group until for the entire session andswitch all devices to silent mode.k) Most importantly, enjoy this learning opportunity!
I need to cancel my registration to the session I signed up for. What should I do? Class enrollment is a professional commitment on the part of the learner to his/her development and should be given priority. Furthermore, each RU Online class only has limited limited slots which should be maximized as a valuable company resource. However, if you are unable to attend your session, send an email to RU through Zimbra at least five (5) days before your class so that we can reallocate your slot to another learner.
Will RU Online classes get cancelled? RU Online classes will be cancelled only if the minimum class size requirement is not met. If this happens, you will be informed ahead of time and the class will be rescheduled.
What happens if I miss my session? RU will send you an email, copying in your Immediate Superior, to find out why you no-showed your session. One no-show to RU online classes will make you ineligible to enroll for the succeeding month's classes.
What do I need to do after the session?
a) Accomplish the evaluation form through the link that will be sent to you by the facilitator. Your feedback will help us improve our sessions. b) Complete your assignments, if there are any. c) After all the sessions, inform your immediate superior that you have successfully completed a course. Then discuss any on-the-job applications (special assignments, etc.) or social interventions (coaching/mentoring) so that you can have a holistic learning experience.
