I have a particular penchant for applied research and have worked on:
Machine learning of seasonal forecasting with Charles River Analytics to improve vessel routing for the US Navy.
Improving design criteria of offshore platforms with BP using climate model data.
Tropical cyclone variability and response to climate change of interest to the Reinsurance industry.
Ocean wave climate variability and change with BAE Systems.
Operational Ocean wave ensemble forecasting with the UK Met Office.
I am also a Project Management Professional and a level five charted manager with the Chartered Management Institute. I am also a software carpentry instructor.
