Metazine 1

Metazine 1 was an annual magazine about magazines, created as a printed retrospective of the Raw Print speaker series. Produced in collaboration with risograph studio Dizzy Ink, the publication brought together interviews, photography and material from conversations with independent publishers, editors and makers. More than an archive, Metazine used the material qualities of print to continue those conversations on the page. Risograph, letterpress, thermography, coloured stocks and experimental binding transformed each edition into a tactile exploration of independent publishing, reflecting both the realities of making magazines and the creative possibilities of print itself.
