Marmalade was a UK-based, quarterly independent publication covering the creative industries, media, style, fashion, and contemporary culture. Founded in 2001 by journalist Kirsty Robinson and art director Sacha Spencer Trace (Teulon), the print magazine circulated until 2009. Known for its cerebral yet emotive editorial approach, the publication featured a distinct visual aesthetic, experimental artwork, and established itself as an indie staple for creatives. The magazine took an highly experimental visual approach; many of its pages featured physical 3D collages that were captured through photography. It utilized strict graphic rules for its fonts and grid layouts, giving the collages ample creative freedom.
