Quantitative ecology

We study how ecological communities interact with abiotic environments, forming community-environment feedback. For the past 5 years, we have been particularly interested in developing theories and methods to quantitatively evaluate and forecast the impact of biodiversity loss or community shifts on functionality of ecosystems.
