GSLIS has received a $2,000 scholarship to be given to a promising second year MLS student who aspires to become a librarian. These funds will be available for the spring 2018 semester. If you wish to apply for this scholarship please submit the following and contact the GSLIS office by October 31, 2017:

• 1. A 500 word essay discussing your goals as a librarian.

  2. The name of a GSLIS faculty member (full time or adjunct faculty) who has agreed to write a letter of recommendation for you.

The donors, a children's book author and his wife, would like to meet the recipient on campus at an event sponsored by the Queens College Donor Relations Office.
