A very different picture from what we have today! Six cars and a bicycle - who owned them?
From the Charlie Todd Collection. Here we have a great photo from Johnny & Irene Watson showing the bottom of Millands Road with the original 'prefabs' at the end which were later replaced by the 'electric' houses. The young lady washing the car is Helen Angus. The chap in the garden with his back to us, we think is Bob McQuid (Nancy's dad from yesterday's photo) and the chap on the pavement with the pram we is Jimmy Grant, Johnny Grant the joiner's dad. The old van parked between the two of them is the one Johnny used for his joinery business for many years. So the babies are? This probably dates from 1959/60?
