EVERYOUNG
The group will meet in the Thankerton Bowling Club at 2 - 4pm on the following Thursday afternoons :-
24th February 2022
10th & 24th March 2022
14th & 28th April 2022
I'll do the (musical) entertainment at the first meeting myself, the theme being 'An Afternoon with John Philip Sousa' and I'm currently working on speakers/musicians for the other dates.
Everyone is welcome to attend. 45 mins entertainment then tea, biscuits and a blether. We hope to see the return of the pre-Covid regulars + anyone new to the villages / area. £1 per meeting.
Any queries, please Message Charlie Todd, Secretary
With Covid figures finally dropping we'll have to think about restarting.
Thankerton Hall is unlikely to be open in the immediate future so would will have to meet in the Thankerton Bowling Club 2nd & 4th Thursday 2 till 4pm - whom I haven't spoken to yet NB Jim Hope.
I think we'll need some additional Committee members (not much involved), some additional HELPERS for the all important Tea & Biscuits and it would be good to hear from potential local SPEAKERS / MUSICIANS / ENTERTAINERS who can do an interesting 45 minute (max) presentation for us (with Powerpoint if speaking). Any topic considered. Please Message me re the above.
And lastly, the all important AUDIENCE. We've had lots of new people moving into the village and the local area in the past 2 years so everyone is welcome to attend. Do a 'like' or make a comment if you will be attending. We usually finish in April (assuming we get started!) and start again in October.
More to follow when I've received responses and the Cttee have got something sorted out.
