2nd Mobility- Milazzo Italy: 28/4- 4/5
1st Day:
All partners were welcomed at Zirilli Primary School, where the school staff introduced the activities of the following days. There were dramatization activities, folk dances (tarantela) presented by the students. Host teachers and students showed visitors around the school and presented typical Sicilian products.
In the afternoon, there was a workshop on various digital tools in relation to fairytales and myths. More specifically, we got acquainted with the use of apps such as genially, actionbound and learningapps, and later had the opportunity to experience hands on the use of these tools by taking part on a digital treasure hunt around the medieval castle and the MUMA museum.
2nd Day:
In the morning, we visited Taormina, whose origins are linked to a legend of ancient Sicily populated by giants, men-fish and monstrous animals. We also visited the ancient Greek theatre. In the afternoon, we visited mount Etna and saw the craters, where the workshop of Hephestus was according to mythology. Finally, on our way back, we discovered the myths and tales of Messina: Scilla and Cariddi, Mata e Grifone, Fata Morgana, Dina and Clarenza, Cola Pesce, the ghosts of the earthquake.
3rd Day:
In the morning, we attended a workshop at the school on the use of digital tools and learning apps usable in everyday school life. Special attention was paid to Story maps and digital story books, as we are going to use them in creating story books when back home.
In the afternoon, we were taken on a boat tour around Capo Milazzo and took part in activities in the Area Marina Protetta.
4th Day:
In the morning, we were taken on a tour at Tindari and at noon we visited Marinello and its lakes, where we had the opportunity to get a deeper insight at the myths and legends of the area.
In the evening, we were taken on a guided tour around Parco Jalari, a park of exceptional wealth in beauty, culture and history of the area.
5th Day:
Welcome activities organized by teachers and students at “Zirilli” Lower Secondary School. Afterwards, visiting teachers, taught Italian students about their fairytales and myths, in English, combining traditional with digital tools. Both students and teachers were enthusiastic about the lessons, which definitely were a unique moment in our mobility.
In the afternoon, a coordinators meeting was held, where the results of the 5 days were summarized and the plan for the forthcoming activities was set.
3 maggio 2022 Progetto Erasmus+ The puzzle of diversity.
Gli studenti e i docenti della scuola Zirilli hanno vissuto un momento di corale partecipazione nell'accogliere e salutare i docenti greci, ungheresi e islandesi in visita nel nostro Istituto. È stato emozionante cantare tutti insieme l'inno nazionale, mano sul cuore, che ha preceduto la performance musicale delle classi prime che hanno suonato con i tubi sonori le note dell'Inno alla gioia e ritmato una tarantella, a velocità crescente, con la tecnica della body percussion.
Nel corso della mattinata gli ospiti hanno visitato la scuola, osservando i cartelloni dedicati (Erasmus corner) e condotto mini laboratori nelle classi seconde, interagendo in lingua inglese.
