MINI TOY BOXES:

The 1970s were the time when our pop culture avenues were flooded with awesome import from overseas. In particular we saw the arrival of what was then called "Japanimation" - now more properly known as "anime" - and the era of colorful super robots and villains had begun!

In the late 1970s, Monogram aquired a license to produce a line of Shogun Warriors model kits. With designs falling somewhere between the Popy Chogokin and the Jumbo Machinder styles, these beauties were delightfully rounded, slightly chibi, and came with lots of  cool action features!

These paper model versions include a miniature of the vintage model box with removable lid, mocked-up contents and instructions,
and a 2-D standee figure of the classic plastic model.
