Here are step-by-step instructions for assembling your very own "Go-Hako!" I've used Lokai of Cheron from Star Trek TOS as a model. Just click the pix & happy modeling!

STEP 1: ARMS

Score all fold lines, and cut out socket hole (or use a hole punch) first, then cut out the piece (A) itself. Glue the flaps to form the fist, and curl the strips to form the shoulder.

Glue down shoulder strips, but leave the flap with the hole unglued for now. Repeat for the other arm piece (B).

STEP 2: TORSO
Score all fold lines, and cut out socket holes (or use a hole punch) first, then cut out the piece (C) itself, Glue the side seam to form a box. Don't glue the top flap, yet.

Cut out circular piece (D) and rectangular piece (E). Roll up piece E to form a tube (use hole cut in top flap of torso to size it), then cut on lines and fold down flange strips. Push through underside of top flap.

Glue piece E in place to form neck, and then glue part D to underside of top flap to hold neck in place and reinforce the top flap itself.

Cut out rectangular piece (F) and roll it up to form arm axle (using arm holes in torso to size correctly), Then wrap thin strips (G) around the end of piece F and glue to itself (but not to the axle) to form a "nut." Make two of these.

Insert arm axle through arm holes in torso, then slide arm flaps over the protruding ends.

Slide "nuts" over the protruding ends of the arm axle. Apply glue to the ends of the axle to fix nuts in place, being careful to avoid gluing the axle to the arm flap or torso.

Apply glue to the arm flap and carefully close up the arm. Again, be sure to avoid getting glue on the axle, arm or torso to permit free and independent movement. (Please forgive the blurry images)

STEP 3: HEAD
Score all fold lines, and cut out socket hole first, then cut out the piece (H) itself. Glue the side seam and bottom flap to form a box, but leave the top flap unglued for now.

Create another "nut" for the neck axle, using part (G). Place head on neck axle, and glue nut in place, being careful to avoid gluing head to axle. Head should turn freely. Then glue top flap down.

STEP 4: HIPS
Score fold lines, then cut out piece (I), and fold up the flaps. Next, score and cut out holes in hip axle plate (J) and cut the piece out.

Fold up and glue piece (J) as shown, then glue it to the center of piece (I).

STEP 5: FEET
Score all fold lines, and cut "+" into the socket circle on piece (K), but leave the flaps. Then fold up and glue foot together. Repeat with the other foot part (L).

Roll up ankle axles (M&N) and glue them into feet. Create "nuts" for these pieces using two more of part (G).

STEP 6: LEGS
Score all fold lines, and cut "+" into the socket circle on piece (O), but leave the flaps. Curl strip to form the circular part of the piece.

Glue the end of the strip in place, then glue down the side of the leg with the socket hole. Repeat for the other leg piece (P).

Insert the feet into the appropriate legs and glue the nuts to the ankle axles, beIng careful to avoid gluing them to the leg pieces. Feet should turn freely.

Roll up piece (Q) to form leg axle (using hole in hp axle plate J to size it). Cut on lines at either end and fold down flange flaps.

Cut out end caps (R&S), and glue to the flange flaps on leg axle. Then close up outside leg panels and glue down.

STEP 7: FINAL ASSEMBLY
Slide leg/hip assembly into the torso. (You can fold up flaps on hip axle plate to create a little more height if you like.) Glue into place, being sure to avoid getting glue on axle.

Congratulations!

Your "Go-Hako!" is ready for action!
