Not to be confused with Marvel Comic's blind lawyer character, Lev Gleason's Daredevil was battling it out with big-city gangsters,Tojo's saboteurs, and Nazi brownshirts decades earlier. Interestingly enough, the original Daredevil was mute in his debut issue. According to Wikipedia:
