The Black Terror is a fictional character. created by Richard Hughes and Don Gabrielson, who originally appeared in Exciting Comics #9, published by Nedor Comics in January 1941. Some Black Terror stories were written by Patricia Highsmith before she became an acclaimed novelist. According to Wikipedia:

"The character first appeared in the Golden Age of Comic Books in Exciting Comics #9, published in January 1941 by Nedor Comics. He was one of that publisher's most popular superhero characters, operating until at least 1949.

His secret identity was pharmacist Bob Benton who formulated a chemical he called 'formic ethers' which gave him various superpowers. He used these powers to fight crime with his sidekick Tim Roland, together known as the Terror Twins."

Exciting Comics #9 /Jan. 1941

"After appearing in the first eight issues of Big Shot Comicxs, the character was spun off into his own series, in which one issue each appeared in 1941, 1942, 1947, and 1948. The Skyman went on to appear in virtually every issue of Big Shot through issue #101 (May 1949)."

The model I've designed is patterned directly from the cover above featuring The Black Terror's 1st appearance. I have included the belt variant that appeared in a few later issues. I haven't had a chance to build this one yet - so it's still a beta. But I hope you enjoy assembling this Crime Crusher!

Happy Modeling!!

The Professor.

p.s. If you do build it, please send pics :)
