Week Ten

(1) What surprised you? It surprised me to think that we could underthink then users experience, being lazy if you would say so, and make the user follow obnoxious rules that need not be required had we just planned a better experience in the first place. "Don't make me jump through hoops just because you don't want to write a little bit of code." (Don't Make Me Think)

(2) What do you wonder?

I wonder about who will score the NPS' for now and the future. This 2020 political year has been trying. I have personally been effected by discrimination from big tech. There are political bias that dictate the rules users must follow and I'm afraid of Big Tech declaring war on my brand, (they already have).

In other business, I want to learn more about how to increase customer satisfaction in order to boost the sites NPS.

"For those of you in marketing, your NPS (Net Promoter Score) probably goes down." (referring to a bad customer experience)

(3) What are you struggling to understand?

I don't understand what would happen if you tied a piece of toast to the back if a cat's back. Who would land right side up?

"When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down. I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat; the two will hover, spinning, inches above the ground. With a giant buttered-cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago." (Ch 12)
