Exhibit 3

Repeating Patterns

Background Information:

This was a fun idea given to my by one of the class examples available. This week we were studying the Golden Ratio vs. the Rule of Thirds. I have provided a YouTube Video to give a deeper explaination of the difference between these two techniques.

Design Thoughts:

  • Focus: The eyes direct and guide the viewer to the most important part of the image.

  • Blending: By lightening up the image there is more of a balance and flow to the picture.

  • Fibonacci: The Golden Ratio was used which is starting with 0+1 and adding the two previous numbers in the sequence together.

Photoshop:

  • The attempt to create an image using the copy and repeat step was slightly flustered as the marker board is asymmetrical & other measures were taken.

  • Each copy of the additional images were in need to be resized and adjusted to fit the board.
