I did a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ottawa in Canada and moved to Hawaii after graduating to pursue a Master's in Microbiology in Dr. Prišić's lab. I transferred to the PhD program after one year. I'm in my fifth year.

I'm interested in the host-pathogen interactions between macrophages and Mtb grown under Zn2+-limitation, and using TnSeq to identify interactions between alternative ribosomal proteins and other genes. I'm supervising one undergraduate student, Kaye.

Hobbies: hiking, weight lifting, photography, watching Stranger Things
