Rainbow Six Siege – Review
In this review I will share my thoughts on popular, first-person team-based shooter Rainbow Six Siege.
To start of rainbow six siege started as a game simulating the FBI house raids against terrorist organisations and domestic terrorists it has now devolved into an overwatch (another shooter game of the same genre) clone with unrealistic cosmetics useless characters/ operators and some of the worst skill gaps I have seen in my life. A game of rainbow six siege is usually twenty to thirty minutes long. One of the main problems with the ranking system is that if you played a few games in a season before and then quit for the rest the next season (two or three months from start of new season) it takes absolutely years to climb up the ranks and to add to this slow burn 5 wins starting from a low rank in previous seasons is equivalent to about 3 losses. To play through five matches and win them it takes an average of 125 minutes (2.08 hours) To play through three matches and lose it takes 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes). Within 1 and a ¼ hours you can lose 2 hours progress. It feels like whoever changed the rank system was viciously tortured the entire life until the finally escaped got a job at Ubisoft and decided to develop this awful system to get back at the world that wronged them. Awful game design. Also to top it of the fact that new players rank up easier means most of the time you will be pinned against the second coming of rainbow six siege Christ who has fifteen arms and the reflexes of a cat while my team is filled with the most sniffle drop braindead toddlers who haven’t developed object permanence and can’t even speak the human language properly. Every time I am on a losing streak it feels like I want to smash up my Xbox series x into little, tiny black pieces then through all the scraps into the river Thames. It is not even worth playing this absolute time waste of a game even when you win a few matches you rank only goes up small amounts.
