Next step we took was defining the problem more precisely. So the process was after the initial look onto the client's to take a deeper one
How could we conduct a good UX research?
What should we ask in the survey?
My focus and input for the survey revolved around the research questions that I came up with:
"What similar systems exist for connecting people with the same interests?
How do we inspire employees to devote time in developing soft skills?
How can we make it more fun for employees to meet new people?"
So with the users answering I was mostly interested in these in order to get more information about the personas that I created.
The conclusion from the survey is listed in this document (User Survey | Conclusion) ↓. And my personas can be seen below. (Personas.pdf) ↓
And the conclusion from all the input so far is my output about the vibes page (The gif on the right)
With all that information gathered so far (Competitive Analytics, User Research, Client Debriefing), we could finally start laying out the ideas about visualizing our prototype.
The application we used was Adobe Xd and after the team brainstormed about what pages we might include on a whiteboard on Campus (on which I couldn't actively participate), we decided on a few pages that we must include. I found the Vibes page most important of all so I insisted on working on it. GIF below
The purpose of the vibes page is to introduce the user to topics/ events/ groups about soft-skills he might be interested in. Unlike the Main page at the time which was the matching page where the user would match with people in order develop or learn more about the soft-skill he would like.
