At this point we wanted to pitch our idea to the stakeholders in order to get some feedback but we just weren't there yet. Yes, we had semi-working prototype
What is user-centered design?
Why mobile-first?
"User-centered design (UCD) is an iterative design process in which designers focus on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process. In UCD, design teams involve users throughout the design process via a variety of research and design techniques, to create highly usable and accessible products for them."
As you know each week we had a meeting with the stakeholders from SIMAC meaning if needed we could always throw at them what we've done in order to receive any valuable feedback or constructive criticism.
Out of the so far client and stakeholder research + meetings with them we found out that a mobile application would serve best purpose (User Survey | Conclusion) ↓
“What are the advantages of applying ReactJS, Tailwind CSS and Mobile First Design to improve the development process not only for now but also for the future development?”
Since me and Harry were the only ones who have worked with React before we had to prove the others why this was the best or relatively adequate solution for our application interface. That's how we were inspired to come up with the document below as a conclusion, where I focused on react (spoiler alert: react.js didn't happen) and mobile first mostly.
Great, things are looking great! At this point we just created the proper planning and scheduling for the project. But after aligning the timing with the stakeholders expectations it seemed like we were doing great!
Now we wanted to pitch our current prototype, research and analytics with the stakeholder!
We wanted to get a grasp on our unique selling points and practice concise communication about them with our stakeholder.
In conclusion, it didn't go too much according to plan. We were totally on point about the mobile-first design and the business logic to introduce points when winning achievements but we hadn't yet figured what was the main priority of our app.
More about that in the next entry...
