Next step we took was defining the problem more precisely. So the process was after the initial look onto the client's to take a deeper one
What could we learn after the first analyze?
What are the valuable insights?
High-level insights from first analysis:
People at SIMAC need to continuously improve their skills to keep up with new changes and updates. As well as their hard skills, learning and improving soft skills is also important. Keeping the employees interested in the training is also vital.
For the first two weeks, our team will focus on the research as well as gathering information about SIMAC’s employees such as their motivation for new trainings, what they are interested in, and what they need the most.
We don’t know how motivated the employees are to learn new soft skills, so we might need to do an interview or survey.
What is a suitable design challenge?
Design a platform to enable employees of SIMAC to connect and learn from other employees while making it more accessible than going to superiors to plan training by using our platform.
The next bit of a research that was a prerequisite in my opinion was looking into what the competition was doing?
The company I chose was Studyportals since I had previous experiences with them. Despite my work there being related with the marketing team, I gained valuable insight on what was lacking or what they did better in terms of communication.

Then we had to define clearly the guiding questions for this project. The process I asked to take on that is define clear General Research Questions out of any of previous analysis. I suggested having splitting each of them into research that we could assign to each group in order to create user stories which are a must have in any project of this type in my opinion.
What is the main research question?
What are good sub-questions?
How can we help SIMAC to use their own knowledge capacity to develop the skills of their employees and connect them across the company?
Sub-questions:
What are the training resources that the company already has to develop internally?
How can we connect the employees?
What are the effective ways to develop their hard-skills as well as soft-skills?
Who are the employees?
What similar systems exist for connecting people with the same interests?
How do we inspire employees to devote time in developing soft skills?
How can we make it more fun for employees to meet new people?
What is an activity that highly boosts and utilizes soft skills?

My input here was mainly in questions 5, 6, 7
Now when we had a project plan laid out and, research more or less done, we could step into defining clear user stories to serve us as issue tickets in Trello so that we could give a priority and schedule to our work.
My input here translated the sub-questions that I've added into user stories for the (User stories | Vibes Page) ↓
