The first step for me was to focus on the empathizing phase of the design thinking, so the main research problems were:
What is the current situation?
What is the client's problem and how could I solve it on a first glance?
So the first step was to gather a little bit of insight about SIMAC as a company, where they started from, how did it begin, and most of all what is their purpose - information that could grant us valuable insight about the stakeholder.
Then we wanted to empathize a little bit on the problem they gave us - what was the goal of the project, what is the current situation, is there any progress so far?
(1.2 Goal of the project)
Next task was to create a valuable project plan that could even serve us a guide and planner throughout the semester. There we would be able to define a more precise scope, working strategy, research questions and so on.
Then just before defining and diving deeper into researching we wanted to structure a way of working, were we to follow scrum, waterfall or chaotically deliver whatever we did to the client, it had to be clear for me?
Why the scrum methodology?
The scrum framework itself is simple. The rules, artifacts, events, and roles are easy to understand. Its semi-prescriptive approach actually helps remove the ambiguities in the development process, while giving sufficient space for companies to introduce their individual flavor to it.
The organization of complex tasks into manageable user stories makes it ideal for difficult projects. Also, the clear demarcation of roles and planned events ensure that there is transparency and collective ownership throughout the development cycle. Quick releases keep the team motivated and the users happy as they can see progress in a short amount of time.

How could we optimize our efficiency?
The tool for that is Trello, we want to keep things organised, and be able to keep an eye on what everyone is doing at the moment. Meeting up in the morning is also easy with SCRUM, because we are never in the same place.
