"The City of Erebus acknowleges the continued infrastructure disruption affecting a limited section of the Inner Circle.

Current assessments indicate that while the outage is ongoing, the situation does not pose an immediate threat. Restoration efforts are complicated by the age and density of the affected infrastructure, as well as unauthorized activity interfering with repair operations.

Law enforcement presence has been adjusted to prioritize high-risk population centers across the city. Residents are advised to avoid non-essential travel through the affected quadrant.

Reports of increased criminal activity are under active review. However, we remind the public that conditions within the blackout zone are not substantially different from comparable low-oversight districts.

Temporary housing assistance remains available to displaced residents. Further updates will be provided when actionable progress has been made."

Nearly a month has passed since the blackout.

Surveillance systems are still offline, not due to any official restriction, but because repeated attempts to restore them have failed or been sabotaged almost immediately. Emergency services technically remain available, yet response times have stretched into hours-- if they respond at all.

Breakers have taken up occupation in that area, and it seems as though it will remain that way. Law enforcement has deemed the area too dangerous to interfere, citing that "the problems will take care of themselves." What began as opportunistic looting has morphed into territorial control. The message is clear that the City intends to let it burn on its own.

Those who remain within the quadrant have reported a constant, low vibration that is felt more than it is heard. No seismic data supports these claims. There are also unconfirmed rumors referencing pockets of strange gravity throughout the quadrant.

✦ Blood Moon Gang's garage, which sat abandoned and undefended, has been overtaken by Redline, a street racing gang known for hostile takeover and absorption of other gangs. While no members of BMG were taken, many prized vehicles and rare modifications are now in the hands of a rival gang. Will you assist in taking it back?

✦ There are rumors that an unknown criminal faction has started to charge rent and protection within the stolen properties in the Inner Circle. If you truly are the Breaker you claim to be, perhaps it is time for you to return to your roots. There may be opportunities for you there.

✦ Law Enforcement, while upper management in both Agents and Knights are following orders without question, small groups of law enforcement are left uneasy by Erebus's blatant refusal to send aide. Who enforces order when the state won't?

✦ Scientists, the science community is *eager* to learn more about the strange gravity rumors. Someone posted on an online forum claiming to be a City Engineer, they say that the system still thinks the quadrant is there, but it behaves as if its offline. Maybe you should go in to investigate it yourself.

✦ It doesn't sound like there is a rush to reclaim the blackout quadrant-- if you have found yourself in a temporary housing situation, it may be time to think about moving into something more permanent. Surely there is someone out there who could help you retrieve your belongings to move.

💞 Heartstrings - Valentines Day on Erebus

📝 Anonymous Notes Board

Public bulletin boards has been posted outside of Stillpoint Cafe. It's sponsored by a local smooth jazz radio station that's on a mission to spread the love this Valentine's Day as part of a new marketing tactic, but the idea itself is rather sweet. Passersby are encouraged to pin handwritten notes to the board-- confessions, apologies, love letters, gratitude, or words never meant to be spoken aloud. Some are signed, but most aren't.

Throughout the day, people seem to linger longer than intended, usually with a coffee in hand. Notes are read, reread, some quietly pocketed, others entirely untouched.

Prompt;

✦ Visit the Stillpoint Cafe location in the Open Script rooms. Depict your character interacting with the bulletin boards. This can be done entirely on your own as something "in passing" or you could make an RP out of it. On the board, they may leave an anonymous (or not!) message, find one that may feel uncomfortably relevant, or anything else you can think of. There's certainly room for one to misinterpret a note and confront the wrong person...

✦ You may also complete this prompt by drawing your character leaving a note, but thats much more work than a few sentences.

🍕 Love by the Slice

Popular pizza chain "Big Tony's" has rolled out a special Valentine's Day promotion: Heart-shaped pizzas, available all day and priced cheaply enough to entice even the grouchiest customers. Their marketing campaign runs on the slogan: "You don't have to love anyone. You just have to love Pizza."

Big Tony's Pizzeria is not to be confused with Big Al's Pet Emporium, though its common knowledge that Antonio and Albert are bothers.

The special is for carry-out and delivery only, making it perfect for anyone spending the day alone, or for lovers spending a cozy date night in.

Prompt;

✦ Depict your character picking up or having a heart-shaped pizza delivered from Big Tony's Pizzeria. Are they enjoying it alone, with friends, or with a special someone?

🤖 CIT Robotics Convention

The Caligo Institute of Technology is hosting its annual Robotics Convention, drawing engineers, corporate representatives, students, tech enthusiasts, and independent inventors through its doors. The venue buzzes with activity as prototype demos run back-to-back, holo-screens cycle through presentations, and robotics take the center stage.

The main exhibition floor is kept very professional, though the edges of the convention hall tell a different story. Student showcases feature ambitious, underfunded projects held together with pure passion, last minute fixes, and a whole lotta zip-ties. Progress is on display... though not all of it appears to be ready. Whispers circulate about closed-door demonstrations that are not listed on the public schedule, drawing quiet interest from those who "know a guy."

✦ Depict your character in attendance at the convention. Are they there to present, network, observe, invest, or just wander the floor and admire all of the new technology? Perhaps they have the opportunity to test a new prototype, or meet someone that they admire.
