It happened overnight. By morning, an entire quadrant of the Inner Circle had gone dark. Power was out. Surveillance systems were offline. The magrail stalled in its station. Water, heating, and other basic amenities were disrupted, leaving residents disoriented and frustrated. Maintenance crews were dispatched immediately, yet despite their best efforts, no clear cause for the outage has been identified.
Throughout the entirety of the inner circle, including parts that did not lose power, reports began to spread of objects and picture frames found toppled across apartments and offices, as though some invisible hand had passed through in the night. Locals whisper that tremors may have caused the disturbances, though no official seismic activity has been recorded. The combination of sudden blackout and unexplained disruptions has left many feeling uneasy, a creeping sense that this is more than a simple technical failure.
Authorities have moved quickly to relocate residents to temporary housing, spreading them across hotels and vacant apartments while promising a swift resolution. Meanwhile, the darkened quadrant has deteriorated rapidly. With surveillance down and emergency response slowed, lawlessness has taken hold... local gangs and traffickers are already shedding blood for control of the area, taking advantage of the blackout.
✦ If your character canonically lives in the affected quadrant, they may have been relocated to temporary housing, though whether this impacts them is entirely up to you. It may even be the lap of luxury compared to what they're used to. Breakers may take advantage of the situation, while Law Enforcement has been instructed to avoid entering the area until further notice due to the level of danger.
✦ If you happen to have access to a pack of surveillance drones from a certain mission, your information could prove valuable to both breakers and law enforcement.
✦ If you are involved in the Blood Moon Gang, you may be summoned to the blackout quadrant. Within the quadrant is an automotive repair garage that is crucial to BMG's existence-- it must be protected and defended from looting and territory war at all costs.

Strange forces begin to stir in the fringes of reality, spinning off a version of Erebus that doesn't quite align with the one that we know... In this alternate, unstable reality, connections form where they shouldn't, and certain characters find themselves drawn together by fate. This phenomemon is known as the Heart Vortex.
The Heart Vortex is a non-canon, just for funsies Valentine's day event that serves as a crackship mixer. Characters who enter will be randomly paired together, regardless of logic or any compatibility. These pairings do not effect anything in the established canon, and exist only within the vortex.
Entries for the Heart Vortex will open on January 5th, and the pairings will be announced on January 15th. Once revealed, participants will have nearly a full month to create unhinged Valentine's Day art for their assigned pairing. Whether the results are heartfelt, deeply questionable.. or mildly horrifying... or all three at once? Is entirely up to fate, and maybe a bit of your imagination.
It's still winter in Erebus, which brings plenty of snow. This year, a popular digital magazine has decided to celebrate National Snowman Day properly. In honor of the minimally celebrated holiday, they're putting together a special feature showcasing snowmen built by locals across the city-- and they're asking residents to submit photos of their creations.
Participants are encouraged to build a snowman (or several!) anywhere around Erebus and capture a photo to send in. The only requirement is that its made of snow.
The magazine encourages a collaborative effort, the more the merrier!
Prompt; Depict your character (and their friends!?) building or showing off a snowman somewhere in Erebus. The snowman can be impressive or barely holding together-- creativity and humor encouraged! While canonically this would have a due date (for the magazine) there isn't anything at stake. Take your time.
He's just a little guy.
