The first action was to reach out to faculty and staff to find what was needed for students and for themselves.
In Professional Development January 2020, sixty-two people completed a questionnaire.
Below is a booklet with their responses.
The proposed activities were based on the responses we received from faculty and staff in January.
Below are the activities associated with this grant
Obtain a training vehicle to help faculty deal with difficult student situations;
Initiate a Red Folder Project-a red folder at each location that contains resource information that can be given to students in response to their needs;
Obtain equipment and training to improve the videos available from our Office;
Train a second person to provide Questions, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training;
Improve our Offices' services for students with substance abuse problems; and
Continue research concerning how our services help students to inform changes and creation of programs based on need.
