How Else Can I Help?
Give time. In addition to your regularly scheduled classroom shift, find a school-wide initiative that interests you and help bring our events and campus to life.
Give expertise. Join PSC Leaders and Committee Chairs in planning for the year. Our monthly meetings are always open to the community.
Give money. We fundraise throughout the year, and many employers offer corporate gift matching or grant programs that can match, double, or even triple the amount of your contribution.
Do your everyday shopping. Our affiliate fundraising programs such as RaiseRight can also bring in funds at no additional cost to families.
Parent Partnership
Discovery needs you! Our program can only happen with the help of our parents bringing small group learning and enrichment opportunities into the classrooms.
Fundraising While Shopping
Raise money for the school through RaiseRight with normal, every day shopping. It is easy and there is no additional cost to you. It is basically FREE money for our school.
Donations
Our budget relies on additional donations. Participate in our large, organized fundraisers throughout the year. These include Laps for Learning, Spring Auction, and our Annual Fund Drive. Don't forget to check if your company has a Corporate Matching program!
Merchandise
Raise money for the school through normal shopping. It is easy and a great way to raise EASY / FREE money.
Fundraising at Discovery is done in many different ways. At the school-level, everyone is asked to contribute to our Annual Fund to bridge the gap in funding between charter school funding and public school funding. The PSC also organizes a number of fundraisers to bring in additional money to fund field trips, overnight field trip scholarships, and teacher mini-grants. These fundraisers include Laps for Learning, Spring Auction, RaiseRight, and Restaurant Nights. Finally, Discovery is also a non-profit organization so we are able to receive money through Corporate Matching programs. Check out and join in all of these fundraising opportunities to improve our school and ensure our kids get the best learning opportunities they can.
