Fundraising at Discovery is done in many different ways. At the school-level, everyone is asked to participate in our Annual Fund to bridge the gap in funding between charter school funding and public school funding. The PSC also organizes a number of fundraisers to bring in additional money to fund field trips, overnight field trip scholarships, and teacher mini-grants. These fundraisers include Laps for Learning, Buy-A-Spot/Count Me In Events and an Evening for Education Spring Auction. Finally, Discovery is also a non-profit organization, so we are able to receive money through Corporate Matching programs. Check out and participate in all of these fundraising opportunities to improve our school and ensure our kids get the best learning opportunities they can.
Join the Fund Drive community and support Discovery! As a member of this dedicated group, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our school. By participating in our annual Fund Drive, you contribute to meeting our budgetary goals and bridging the gap in funding that we do not receive as a charter school. We encourage all families and staff members to take part, regardless of the size of each contribution.
Your support is vital in helping us maintain and grow Discovery. The suggested donation amount is $1000 per student, but every contribution matters. Whether you can give more or less, your involvement makes a difference. With 100% participation, we can create a thriving learning environment for our students and foster continuous improvement.

Corporate Matching
Do you or a family member work at Apple, eBay, or Google? These companies (along with many others) will all match your donations! Did you know that some will match double?
A list of some of the Bay Area companies that offer corporate matching can be found HERE. This is not a complete list, so if you don’t see your company be sure to still check with them if they offer corporate matching.
Important information about donating with corporate matching:
Corporate matching can be done by donating to Discovery directly through your company and requesting a matching donation, or by donating through Discovery's payment form and sending the receipt to your company to request a match.
When donating through your company for matching, please note the fund or event you are donating towards (for example, Annual Fund or Laps for Learning).
When you submit to your company for matching, they should send you a confirmation receipt of your matched amount.
Corporate matching is an easy way to possibly double your donation and help us meet our fundraising goals!
