This is information found while speaking with the Conjurer's Guild.

• Mostly rumors are spoken.
• Some believe the curse is due to the treasure located in the Sea of Ash.
• Captain Sylbdoen found the cursed treasure and placed it on some remote island, and they started the curse.
• Some claim there is no curse, that it is a story told to little children.
• There are rumors that the curse is as old as the twelve gods.
• One claims he created the curse, however, he is very young and cocky.
• A few will also say it is the curse of Bahamut or Dalamud or the moogles or tonberries.
• One will claim it is an extremely old spell, one that has been lost to the records but remains in lore.
• Only can be used by a powerful person with a strong connection to the Umbral aether flow.
• A few will claim it is part of the Astral aether flow.
• Some will claim it is the work of Zodiark.
