HINTS AND CLUES
EVENT SUMMARY
Upon returning to the airship, the Desert Rose, the Heroes try to make sense of the mission. While they have found Mylysia's lost brother, McCay, they lost Elaut again. They faced off with some winged woman and fought an army of strange creatures.
The airship is ready to depart, and it rocks a little as the engines came to life. The airship lifts off into the sky and starts to head west, back to Gridania.
A short time into their trip, a loud thud hits the airship's deck. The heroes draw their weapons as they see someone with large black wings. Expecting a fight, the heroes stand ready.
The male Hyur stands up and looks towards the heroes. He wears a wrap around his eyes. He said his name is Arus, the Herald, and that he does not wish harm onto them.
Arus goes on to explain that he is part of the Dark Haven. His sister, Astri, the Seer, has the same abilities he has, to see all around the planet. Between him and his sister, they can see everything, and they report back to the Dark Haven so they can plot and move against anyone with little issues. Machai is the enforcer and strength of the Dark Haven's armies.
Arus explains that he is tired of being part of so much horrible things that Thane and the Dark Haven have done. He wants to put a stop to it. However, he is not a fighter, so he wouldn't be able to do it alone and needs the heroes help.
They are clearly skeptical. They want some proof.
Arus, uncertain how to convince them. He says that by stopping his sister first, it will allow them to move easier against Thane and the Dark Haven. He would help them get to his sister. Arus continues to explain that there was only two things he couldn't see, Thane and the God he serves. The abilities the Dark Haven members have is due to Thane and the God, so it is on that, they can hide from Arus and his sister.
The heroes asked what happened to Elaut, and Arus says he does not know. He was the first person, outside Thane and the God, who was able to hide from him. It is why he felt that the heroes could be the ones to help put an end to the Dark Haven, once and for all.
Arus decides to get the heroes a weapon to help stop Machai.
Arus knows that his sister will start to look for him soon if he doesn't reach out to her. He leaves the Desert Rose, leaving the heroes with more questions.
