Team
Edwin Rutsch - Founding Director of The Empathy Center.
Ingrid Hirtz - Member of the Board of The Empathy Center.
Mahip Rathore - : I’m a psychologist, meditation teacher, and former lawyer dedicated to helping people feel more connected — to themselves, to their partners, and to something deeper. (Website) (LinkedIn) Regarding the paid peer counseling and support group program, I really like that idea. I remember we briefly discussed it in the past, and I am certainly open to having more conversations about how to develop that practice.
Mahip just gave this presentation that is very relevant to this project. Empathy Circles as a Core Intervention in Couples Therapy
Beata Terefenko - I am a qualified Counsellor trained in Other-Centred Therapy, a unique approach integrating Western psychotherapy with key principles of Buddhist psychology. I am also a certified Purpose Discovery Guide. thank you for this beautiful invitation! I would love to contribute to this and join you. If scheduling sessions includes the UK time zone, I can fully participate. This is fantastic that you are open to expand the different angles of EC—creating a safe space for people who want to dive more inward. A huge part of my calling is about bringing more of co-regulation and somatic safety to a deeply dysregulated and traumatised world. I see this as the foundation to hold diversity and engage in polarized dialogues.
Thank you for adding me to the team. It would be so nice to feel into this together and use ourselves as guinea pigs to practice—just to see what flows, what works, and what doesn’t.
My team (Buthaina Osman) and I have developed therapeutic interventions that use game mechanics to support neurodivergent children and young people experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety. We design our own narrative-led games, grounded in psychotherapy principles, to build social skills, strengthen empathy, and provide meaningful early intervention.
We would genuinely value the opportunity to contribute to and collaborate on the empathy curriculum. I believe there’s strong alignment between your work and our approach, and I’d welcome a conversation about how we might support one another.
