PROJECT: To Develop The
Mutual Support Empathy Circles
This is a project website to explore and develop:
How Empathy Circles might be used as a less expensive form of peer 'Therapy'/Self Care/Support/Growth?
The purpose of this sight is to build a core team to develop the Mutual Support Empathy Circles. It is not to invite the public to take part. So we are looking for people interested in developing the project. A Mutual Support Empathy Circle is a peer-led, structured listening practice where everyone has an equal turn to speak and be heard — it is not a form of therapy or professional counseling.
The Mission: Developing a "Minimum Viable Product" (MVP) for a peer-led support model that is financially self-sustaining.
A Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is the simplest, earliest version of a new product that allows a team to collect the maximum amount of validated learning about customers with the least effort. It focuses on core features that solve a specific problem for early adopters, aiming to test assumptions, reduce risk, and gather feedback for future development, rather than launching a fully-featured product.
The Ask: We are seeking strategic partners, facilitators, and organizers to help us refine the model and launch the Empathy Center and Movement core financial engine.
We need to develop an income model related to the empathy circle.
Why?
To fund an empathy movement and to build The Empathy Center organization we need to find a way to fund it. Our core foundational practice is the Empathy Circle. It is the minimal functional practice we have. We need to make it a minimal viable product, which means it is financially grounded.
Having an income will give people an incentive to work on the empathy movement. With an income they can work full time on it.
A solution to the high cost of theraphy. Making Personal Support accessable.
I think a peer therapy model, where the facilitator is paid by the participants could be an income source for people working in this area. Even better, it would be a less expensive support process than therapy .
What participants gain?
Personal connections, support, community
Practice in learning active listening, taking part in an empathy circle and how to facilitate an empathy circle
Personal growth
What Facilitators Gain?
a profession
an income
What is a "Mutual Support Empathy Circle"?
A Personal Support Empathy Circle is a facilitated, small-group experience focused on mutual support and high-level Active Listening. It is designed for individuals who want a dedicated space to be heard, process their thoughts, and connect with others without the high cost or clinical nature of traditional therapy.
In these circles, we utilize a structured protocol that ensures everyone has equal time to speak and be heard. Our paid facilitators are experts in the process, ensuring a safe, focused, and respectful environment where the "work" is the simple, profound act of being present for one another.
Why choose this over traditional therapy?
Affordability: Get the emotional support you need for the price of a yoga class or a meal out.
Peer Connection: Break the isolation by realizing you aren't alone in your experiences.
Skill Building: You don't just receive support; you learn the life-changing skill of Active Listening that you can use in improving your relationships.
No Labels: We don't diagnose or "fix." We provide the space for you to find your own clarity.
