April 22nd-May 16th, 2026, VII
The Fuhgeddaboutit War, or the Sencela War, took place on April 22nd-May 16th, 2026, VII, between the Pearson Republic and the Free Territories of the United Democratic Republic of Gerilaland, henceforth for historical context be known as Gerilaland. Roots of the conflict lay in the Early April Revolution, the Region Sencela and protection of spheres of influence. Following the 24-day conflict the war ended with further questioning Pearsican Imperialism.
Beginnings
On April 2nd the Early Revolution started then ended with the overthrow and execution of the Marquis of Gerilaland ending monarchical rule. The Revolutionary leader, now the Supreme leader, took control of Gerilaland and made it a theoretical autocracy. An international incident began on April 19th when the Supreme Leader annexed the Nounashian Colony of Sencela which saw back lash from the micronational community. The Nounashian president plead for Pearsican aid which Pearsican Secret Intelligence assassinated Gerilalander General Krull with laser pointers. After the assasination of Krull Peace Conference was held in Sencela Village but ended up in arguments and disputes between the President and the Supreme leader of Gerilaland. After the failure of the Conference Gerilaland launched strikes against the Nounash Nation which our President ordered a draft, not just the Pearson Republic, but all allied Nations to help the Nounash Nation which formed the Magnolia Coalition. There was no declaration but these action historians cite as the beginning the the Fuhgeddaboutit War over the Sencela Region on April 22nd.
Life During Wartime & Controveries
Pearsicans during the month-long war lived normally but with propaganda posters in all territories of the country and even the President enacted guidelines for citizens to help out to win the War. Guidelines included: Urging citizens to walk a little more to conserve fuel, avoid waste, especially food, find time for war work and buy War Bonds. We endorse citizens to stay off of telecommunication devices. Pearsicans are to stay off the telephones and avoid sending unnecessary telegrams to keep lines open for official communication. These actions helped our troops on the frontier to be safe and brought home sooner. Important reminders to evade loose talk that could be dangerous to our soldiers and the war effort. Conversations about troop movements, war production and general military information are demanded to be avoided. Little slips could've cost us lives and even the war to uphold international law. A big issue was the Pearson Republic had its allies adopt these policies which saw the Nounash Nation brutally suppress Anti-War Protesters with the aid of Pearsican Troops in the event known as Karma City Tragedy. Still the Pearson Republic was still wanting to end this war by any means possible.
Northern Riverview Invasion
The Northern Riverview Invasion started on May 15th when sling shot artillery bombarded the Region and destroyed all Gerilalander defenses. Troops landed on Porto Lastanco and marched through the Region to control of populace. In mid-day Coalition soldiers stopped at the boundaries of the Village of Sencela. When the Nounashian descendants Sencelans refused to house Coalition Infantry the Village was ransacked which saw atrocities of dismantling infrastructure and partaken in colorful smoke bombs. After the Invasion a ceasefire was called and a peace treaty drafted.
Seconed Treaty of Bixby & Post-War Feelings
On May 16th at Sencela Village, President Mason Pearson and the Supreme Leader of Gerilaland signed the Second Treaty of Bixby which ended the Fuhgeddaboutit War and broke Gerilalander rule in Sencela. Although the Region is mandated by the Pearson Republic and has not given back to the Nounash Nation sense. Citizens and allies saw the Pearson Republic as a friendly competitor but also a superpower that will get what it wants. Since then, the Pearsican public questioned the policy of Pearsican Imperialism.
