The Office of President of the Pearson Republic is the highest office of the land in the Pearsican Nation. Its responsibility is executing laws and having authority to keep the Pearson Republic running. The President is the chief legislator, chief executive, commander-in-chief, chief of state, chief diplomat and kind of acts like a Dictator. The President does hold a lot of authority and once elected President is to serve for life in the Office of President until death, resignation or removal. Still our Founder, Mason Pearson, wanted to keep a dictatorship with citizens still keeping him accountable with the previsions in Our Constitution to keep a democratic government.
The President is the main Legislator of the Pearson Republic by being the primarily one introducing legislation into the National Assembly. Although the National Assembly can propose certain legislation on their own it still needs the approval of the President.
As Chief Executive of the Pearson Republic responsibilities include enforcing laws and ordering laws. The President, with the help of Police Chief, helps with law enforcement and implementing laws with the Government Ministries and Agencies. Managing those departments and appoints people to run them under the President's authority. The President can order decrees called Executive Orders to establish poilcey and key laws.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Pearson Republic, the President is in charge of the Armed Forces. The President can appoint military officials, give orders to the military and declare war (with approval of the National Assembly).
As Chief Diplomat of the Pearson Republic the president can meet with foreign leaders, receive and send representatives/ambassadors from other nations. Chief of State is the symbol of the nation and represents the Pearson Republic globally.
*Note: some periods had different titles, but same responsibilities and the Pearson Republic is still the same nation then to this day. Also, some may not be in order due to some records being revised.
