PDMU 6 strategizes anew ahead of second semester
Gathered to seek solutions that would aid in the timely and efficient transition of the various projects monitored by the Unit, the Regional Office personnel of the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), along with the PDMS Chiefs of the Provincial Offices, conducted its two-day PDMU Conference from June 20-21, 2023 at the Fatima Farm Resort, San Lorenzo, Guimaras.
Project Evaluation Officers and engineers assigned to the different programs overseen by the Unit enumerated the specific projects that have issues and concerns in implementation, making their status stagnant at the “not yet started” phase – whether on the SubayBAYAN portal or in the actual physical report.
Consequent to this, the participants offered action plans and recommendations geared towards assisting the LGUs in addressing their dilemma and fast-tracking project completion.
Further, plans and schedules for the upcoming LGSF Caravan to be held across Western Visayas were ironed out. Iloilo Province is slated to be the first stop of the activity, which will be participated by the LGUs with projects under the various Local Government Support Fund programs: Financial Assistance to LGUs (FALGU), Support to the Barangay Development Program (SBDP), and Growth Equity Fund (GEF).
Introducing another innovation, the newly established PDMU publication team led by Content Editor/Head Writer Marie Angelie S. Villalon and Managing Editor/Head Graphic Artist Rhyene Janne S. Poly presented its first-ever biannual magazine coined CONSTRUCTS. The first issue of which, available in both virtual and physical versions, is set to be distributed in July with contributions from the Provincial Offices.
Culminating the productive forum, PDMU Chief Anthony Ian G. Andaleza awarded the PDMS Chiefs certificates, which recognized the accomplishments and efforts of the Provincial and City Offices for the first semester of the year.
