Twenty Local Government Units (LGU) of Panay Island were recognized with the Seal of Good Local Governance and awarded checks during the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) Turnover today at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.

Reinforcing the Department’s campaign for “Mahusay, Matino at Maaasahang Kagawaran,” the SGLGIF seeks to encourage the convergence of local development initiatives with national development agenda and priorities while promoting transparency, accountability, participation, and service delivery – ultimately improving the living conditions of people and communities.
