Indigenous History & Culture Fair
On Wednesday, May 24, the Junior US History Class hosted an Indigenous History & Culture Fair at Butte Central's Elementary and Middle School. Students K-7 and their teachers attended events and toured the exhibits. The following week, the Junior Class exhibited their work at the high school for all students and faculty

Inspired by Code Talker Stories by Laura Tahoe, Jake T. taught a lesson about Navajo Code Talkers to 6th and 7th graders.
Kathryn L. taught 4th and 5th graders about Indigenous cooking and had them reflect on recipes they would like to pass down to their grandchildren.

had them write their own.
CREATIVE WRITING
Ayden D. wrote a short story inspired by Indigenous People's History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz.
Collaboration
The Butte-Silverbow County Archives lent a banner on Indigenous history in the Butte area.
A children's librarian from the Butte Public Library held storytime with Indigenous-authored books for students grades K-2.
