'Place/Displacement and Cultural Narratives' Unit plan - Fall 2023
or What is behind door number 3? - A progression of how lives change with fate and circumstance.
**This unit is just a working model(most of it is still in planning stages...) The following 'micro' lesson will be changed to include a cultural storytelling aspect using graphic novels. The art idea will remain but will have criteria leading up to the project choice. In other words, more options for students to choose from. Possible Assessments:
Student self-reflection - list a highlight for individual students daily
Establishing the desired results(efficacy) - check for understanding at various times as discussed in the beginning of the unit (for ex. first day, third day,etc..) or an 'ah ha! moment?
