From ever since I was a pre-teen child, I had a huge love of arts...
I used to draw on top of the desk as an infant. I would look at books...and, 'stare' for endless hours and hours...just how good a drawing/painting is that...?! I also wanted to be able to write stories, myself. In short, I was not the type who just merely wanted to look at art from the 'outside'...; but, instead, I also very much wanted to become 'an artist' myself, as well.
In my youth, I remember doing some street graffiti...(not too much, though; as I didn't wish to get caught/but, definitely, some). Around age 14 I quit school, entirely voluntarily; and, instead, went off to go visit seeing the local library...where I saw books on Picasso/Dali/Da Vinci/Michelangelo/Donatello/Dore/-etc. I also went and read Shakespeare/Goethe. Too, I discovered the world of Classical music/and, ballet. So, my teenage years were a time period where I went and discovered art, seriously; even, visiting such places as museums/galleries, often; sometimes, paying to become a regular yearly member.
Somewhere in my mid-20's, I started to keep sketchbooks...just to record my ability to draw...hoping with truly sufficient 'practice' to be able to improve; which I proceeded to very quickly fill up...in, maybe, a few days/weeks.
In my 30's I recall doing a whole lot of internet surfing...; which, eventually, led to my buying prints/and, sometimes, 'original' works of art from off eBay.
In my 40's I visited 2nd hand shops, regularly; and, often came out of there with say a wooden carved sculpture/or, some other artistic ornament. I recall buying a 'life sized' plastic skeleton from off either eBay/or, Amazon...I really can't remember which...but, I still have that plastic skeleton, now-a-days?! Didn't tend to practice drawing from it much...as the skeleton was much too big. What I did do, however, was buy a miniature plastic skeleton to go practice drawing from, instead.
In my 50's...I still remain very much being an art collector...that is, whenever I can afford it. I still surf to find all different sorts of art online...drawings/paintings/books/poetry/songs/photos/films. I even have a PInterest page...with over 30,000 plus art items posted there.
The truth is, I love 'all' forms of arts, including: drawings/paintings/pottery/sculpture/books: prose: short stories/poetry/songs/camera: photography/film/paper making: cut outs/collage/origami/fashion: clothes/jewellery/-etc.; up to, and, including, 'digital arts', as well. I would say more than half of the art I myself do tend to create is, in fact, 'digital'...as I tend to spend an awful lot of time being on the computer/and, attached to the Internet...like: 24/7/366!
