The Youth Festival is an exciting event where young people can show their talents and creativity. It is held every year by Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University and brings together students from different fields to take part in various competitions like debate, elocution, skits, quizzes, and more.These competitions help students grow, improve their communication skills, and think in new ways. Students from the Department of English actively took part in Kalayatra, an event leading up to the Youth Festival that encourages creative expression. The event included a parade based on the festival’s theme, giving participants a chance to present their artistic and thematic ideas.
The department’s presentation highlighted Nari Shakti Vandana (Salutation to Women's Power), celebrating the strength, resilience, and contributions of women in society.
The participants sincerely thanked the faculty for their constant guidance and support. They also appreciated the efforts of those who worked behind the scenes, especially in organizing and documenting the parade, which played a key role in its success.

This year, the Department of English focused on the state of education, shedding light on how social media, reels, TikTok, and substance abuse negatively affect students' academic progress.
The Kalayatra began at Shamaldas Arts College and ended at Swaminarayan College, with various institutions highlighting important social issues. Many colleges addressed topics like women's safety and the growing concerns about sexual violence, making the event a strong reflection of today’s challenges.
