Play performance of Long Day's Journey into Night
Our class was given an exciting task by Megha Ma’am to prepare the play “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” by Eugene O’Neill. She divided us into groups and assigned different scenes to each group.
Each group worked together to prepare the script, plan the setup, and organize the shoot for their assigned scene. We took turns performing and recording our parts, ensuring that every scene was captured carefully.
After completing all the scenes, we uploaded the final video on the department’s YouTube channel. Finally, we had a special screening of the play, which was attended by our seniors and teachers. The event gave us a chance to showcase our performance and experience the joy of teamwork and creative collaboration.
As part of their Film Studies coursework, students produce a video examining various cinematic techniques, such as visual effects, camera angles, shot compositions, and green screen usage. This activity deepens their critical understanding of filmmaking and screen analysis.
Poetry Recitation
In M.A. Semester 1, Vaidehi Hariyani Ma’am assigned us a task to create a video on any poem as part of our study on Transcendentalism. She inspired us to record the poem in our own voice.
This was my first time managing the entire process from shooting to recording and editing, and it was truly a great experience.
