As a PAL you will often need to help students navigate campus resources. You may want to familiarize your self with the following

The Big 3: Student Support Resources During Remote Learning

Lots of resources are listed below, but these might be some of your first choices if your not sure where or how to get a student help.

1. Chaffey College Live Chat: Have a question? Submit it here where a Chaffey Team member is standing by to help!

2. The Student Support Hub: The Student Support Hub is your one-stop-shop for most Chaffey Services! Click here to access your counselors, financial aid, the Wellness Center, and more!

3. The Chaffey Online Toolkit: Chaffey College has additional technology resources, including an Intro to Online Learning and a Chromebook checkout, while our college is operating fully online.

Additional Writing Tutors

Chaffey College Success Center Writing Tutors

• • Students can work with any PAL tutor or any other Success Center tutor in a Zoom tutoring session .

  • Help students get extra practice by referring them to a specific Zoom Workshop or DLA with a Success Center tutor.

Smart Thinking Tutors

• • Too many schedule conflicts? Students should send their writing assignment to Smart Thinking, a third-party tutoring service. These non-Chaffey tutors will review a copy of their essay and email them feedback. (Click on "Smart Thinking" on the course navigation to the left.)

Online Learning Resources

  • The Online Library: Chaffey librarians and library resources are available online! If your working on research for this class or another class, be sure to check out the 24/7 Library Chat or meet with a librarian feautre!

  • "How To" Tutorials for Students: If you or a student needs some help accessing other college online resources, check out these "How to Tutorials."

  • Free office software: Papers and many other assignments will need to be typed in a basic office software. Chaffey students, can access Google drive (to save documents) and Google Docs (to type) from their Panther email account. They may also consider free versions of Microsoft Office, Open Office, or iWork, to complete their assignments.
