Reflection and texture

Up the Bark

Media: DSLR

This photo shows the textures that you may not be focused on when you are going through a walk. The faraway dark branches help add dissymmetry. The leading lines of the break draw your eyes up the composition, these lines lead you up the photo to the distant limbs and branches. The rest of the empty space is filled with bright blue sky and a canopy of leaves, including some from the surrounding trees, with are illuminated with the sunlight.

Ripple

Media: DSLR

This photo perfectly encapsulates the assignment, it includes texture and reflection, through the use of the rippling waters from the river and the deep green algae growing on the rock, shows movement from the flowing waters brushing it back. The rest of the composition if underneath the water, and it is sand, a similar texture that complements the rock. This photo was difficult to pull off due the shadow of the tripod casting over the picture, and with limited space in the river to shoot.
