A tenant association is an organization of tenants that advocates and works towards better living conditions and stability for their members or building.

Any apartment building can form a tenant association. Often tenants organize when there have been ongoing issues such as renovictions, pests, etc. However, you don't need a reason to start a tenant association, just interest.

Once an association is formed, tenants will hold meetings to discuss issues and next steps to achieving solutions.

Tenant Associations tend to be one of the best ways to ensure tenant rights are upheld and the units well maintained, affordable and stable.

Our Tenant Organizer helps tenants start tenant associations through assisting with outreach, meeting coordination, and resources. We are also able to answer any questions you might have about tenant associations and how to start one.
