Delicious and easy Orange and Apple Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
6 ounces (170 grams) unsalted butter, softened
6 ounces (170 grams) granulated sugar
8 large eggs
The juice and half the grated zest of 1 orangeĀ
1 large apple, peeled and grated
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the orange juice and zest, and the grated apple.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Top with the puff pastry, trimming the edges to fit. Cut a few slits in the top of the pastry to allow steam to escape.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the filling is set.
Let the pudding cool slightly before serving.
Tips:
For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter for extra spice.
Serve the pudding warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Enjoy!
