Terms of Service for “OnlyPets GlimmerSoil”

Welcome to “OnlyPets GlimmerSoil” (the “App”), provided by OnlyPets Studio (“we,” “us,” or the “Studio”).
By downloading, installing, opening, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please stop using the App.
The App provides tools for beetle keeping, breeding, and record management, including but not limited to:
Beetle profile and container-code management
Species, sex, stage, and lifecycle records
Weight, length, and growth records
Substrate replacement, feeding, maintenance tasks, and reminders
Eclosion, dormancy, breeding, pairing, egg-laying, and hatching records
Parent information and lineage trees
Expense, income, and breeding-cost records
Photos, QR labels, and QR scanning
Data integrity and duplicate container-code checks
Local backup, export, and restoration
Optional Google Drive cloud backup and restoration
Notifications and maintenance reminders
Available features may vary depending on the operating system, device capabilities, App version, region, and third-party service availability. We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, compatibility, legal, or operational reasons.
2. Eligibility and Minors
You must have the legal capacity required in your jurisdiction to use the App and accept these Terms.
If you are under the age of legal majority, you should use the App under the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, particularly when using Google Sign-In, cloud backup, or any future paid feature.
3. Husbandry Information and Disclaimer
3.1 Record-management purpose
The App is a husbandry record and management tool. It does not provide veterinary, medical, biological identification, commercial breeding, legal, or other professional advice.
Growth trends, size references, reminders, lifecycle information, breeding records, lineage information, and other calculations are based primarily on user-entered data, general reference information, or predefined rules and are provided for reference only.
Actual beetle conditions may vary depending on species, genetics, temperature, humidity, substrate, feeding, disease, and husbandry environment.
You are responsible for evaluating the actual condition of each animal and seeking appropriate professional assistance when necessary. Except where prohibited by law, you assume responsibility for losses resulting from husbandry, substrate replacement, breeding, feeding, relocation, or other actions based on information shown in the App.
Results may be inaccurate due to incomplete or incorrect user input, device date or time settings, software errors, compatibility issues, or backup and restoration failures. You should independently verify important information and should not rely on the App as your only record.
4. Local Data and Backups
The App primarily stores husbandry records and photos locally on your device.
Data may be permanently lost if you uninstall the App, clear App data, lose or reset your device, experience storage or operating-system failure, delete records by mistake, or fail to maintain backups.
The App may provide backup export and restoration functions. You are responsible for securely storing backup files and preventing unauthorized access.
Restoring a backup may overwrite current data. You should verify the backup date, content, and scope before proceeding.
4.3 Google Drive cloud backup
Where available, Google Drive backup is optional and requires you to sign in to a Google Account and grant the necessary permissions.
Cloud backup or restoration may fail because of network interruptions, expired authorization, insufficient cloud storage, Google service disruptions, corrupted files, version incompatibility, or use of the wrong Google Account.
We do not guarantee that local or cloud data will never be lost and, except where required by law, are not obligated to provide manual data-recovery services.
5. Google and Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with:
Google Sign-In
Google Drive API
Expo or React Native services
Operating-system notification, camera, photo, and file functions
Your use of third-party services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Third-party services may be changed, suspended, or discontinued independently of us.
You may not:
Crack, modify, or unlawfully reproduce the App
Reverse engineer or decompile the App except where expressly permitted by law
Bypass security, permission, or protection mechanisms
Falsify or maliciously create data at scale
Use the App for illegal, infringing, or harmful activity
Distribute malware or interfere with the App or third-party systems
Use the App’s name, images, or content commercially without authorization
We may restrict or terminate access to affected features where reasonably necessary to address violations, security risks, or unlawful conduct.
The App’s source code, interface, graphics, branding, written content, data arrangement, feature design, and built-in materials are owned by the Studio or their lawful rights holders.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit such materials without prior written authorization.
You retain any rights you lawfully hold in names, photographs, notes, and husbandry information that you enter or upload.
8. Availability and Limitation of Liability
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the App, but do not guarantee that:
It will operate on every device
Every feature will always be available
Every error will be corrected immediately
Third-party services will remain available
Every backup or restoration will succeed
The App will satisfy every individual requirement
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
The App is currently available free of charge. If subscriptions, permanent unlocks, paid functions, or other digital content are introduced in the future, pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be governed by:
The information shown on Google Play or the Apple App Store
The applicable platform rules
Applicable consumer-protection law
The purchase and refund terms published by the Studio at that time
We will not independently charge you outside the platform without your express authorization.
10. Service Changes and Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features because of maintenance, security needs, legal or platform requirements, third-party changes, technical or operational needs, or events beyond reasonable control.
Material changes may be announced through the App, the applicable app-store page, or our official channels.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the App, applicable law, third-party services, or our operations.
Updated Terms will be published through the App, the app-store listing, or our official website. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires separate consent.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the Taiwan Taichung District Court will be the court of first instance.
