1. App Overview
QuietSea is a dedicated marine aquarium management application. It offers livestock photo logging, task reminders, parameter tracking, trend charts, equipment/supply management, timeline logs, aquarium calculators, and a virtual pet companion.
Core Sections:
Main Dashboard: View aquarium photos, tank age (days running), active maintenance tasks, and shortcuts to key features.
Calculators: Convert and calculate water volume, salinity adjustments, element dosing, and dosing solution recipes.
Water Parameters: Log parameter metrics, view historical trend charts, and manage lighting/dosing schedules.
Livestock & Equipment: Manage profiles for fish, corals, hardware, consumables, and photo histories.
Timeline (Events): A chronological timeline showing manual user logs and automatically generated system logs.

Long-pressing a tank name opens a card displaying the tank name, start date, and records summary. You can edit the name or delete custom tanks here (default tanks cannot be deleted).
2.5 Safety Confirmations
Critical actions such as deleting, clearing, importing, or formatting data will always trigger a confirmation prompt to prevent accidental data loss.
2.6 Virtual Pet
A virtual companion floats on the screen. It temporarily hides when keyboards, modals, settings, or ads are active. This feature can be disabled in Settings.
3. Main Dashboard
3.1 Quote Banner
A horizontal scrolling text bar located above the photo gallery for daily inspiration or announcements.

3.6 Adding Maintenance Tasks
Create routine tasks with custom recurring cycles.
Category: Options include Water Quality, Equipment Cleaning, Consumable Replenishment, or Custom.
Task Name: e.g., "Water Change", "Clean Skimmer".
Cycle Days: The interval/frequency of the task.
Notes: Additional instructional details.
3.7 Maintenance Checklist
Displays the category, task name, recurrence cycle, last completed date, and remaining days. Tapping "Complete" resets the next due date.
Green (Normal): Plenty of time remaining.
Yellow (Upcoming): Action required soon.
Red (Overdue): Highly recommended to handle immediately.
4. Calculators
Disclaimer: All calculations are for informational reference only. Always cross-verify with product labeling before dosing.
4.1 Shared Total Volume
Set your system's total net water volume. This value automatically synchronizes with other specific calculators. Supports metric/imperial unit switching.
4.2 Net Volume Calculator
Estimates total water capacity based on dimensions. Supports standard rectangular tanks and cylindrical sumps/containers.
4.3 Salt Weight Calculator
Estimates the required weight of sea salt based on target water volume, desired salinity, and manufacturer instructions.
4.4 Salinity Adjustment
Calculates the approximate amount of fresh water or concentrated brine needed to adjust current salinity to a target level.
4.5 Element Dosing Calculator
Estimates the exact raw material amount needed to raise elements (Ca, Mg, KH, K) from current levels to target parameters. Includes specialized warnings (e.g., Kalkwasser's simultaneous impact on Ca, KH, and pH).
4.6 DIY Dosing Solutions
Calculates custom concentrations and dosage strengths for homemade supplement recipes (e.g., core elements, NO3, PO4, and trace elements).
4.7 Dosing Adjustments
Helps adjust automatic doser daily outputs based on current consumption trends. It is recommended to adjust incrementally and test frequently.
4.8 Treatment & Additive Concentration
Converts product strengths relative to total aquarium volume to hit desired PPM increases. Always review product labels and consult experienced professionals before chemical usage.
5. Water Parameters
5.1 Reference Values
Provides recommended parameters tailored to different tank types (e.g., LPS, SPS, FOWLR). Treat these as benchmarks rather than absolute rules.
5.2 Salifert Test Kit Converter
Input syringe readings from Salifert test kits to instantly convert them into parameter numbers—no chart reading required.
5.3 Test Timers
Built-in countdown timers for multi-step test kits. If you minimize the app, the timer auto-aligns with real-world time upon return.
5.4 Parameter Logs
Tracks standard metrics: Ca, Mg, KH, NO3, PO4, Salinity/Specific Gravity, and Custom Items. Features an "Import Previous Entry" tool for rapid logging.
5.5 Stability Scoring
Calculates a stability score based on recent data fluctuations. Higher scores reflect minimal, optimal parameter swings.
5.6 Trend Charts
Visual graphs mapping historical records. Lighting shifts or dosing adjustments are plotted as timeline tags to analyze behavioral effects.
5.7 Lighting Logs
Track fixtures, total intensities, and individual color channel percentages with historic record saving.
5.8 Dosing Logs
Track doser channels, supplement names, daily outputs, and notes. Edits are auto-logged to the Timeline.
