Shadow of the Crag Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 30, 2026
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
OnlyPets ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how "Shadow of the Crag" (hereinafter referred to as "the App") handles your data when you use our reptile care tracking, health observation, merchant management, reminder, backup, and related features.
The App is designed solely for reptile care logging and management purposes. It does not provide medical diagnosis for humans or animals, nor does it automatically diagnose diseases or calculate medication dosages based on entered symptoms.
This policy applies to the Android and iOS versions of the App, as well as any other official versions provided by us. Features you access through third-party platforms or services may also be governed by those third parties' own privacy policies and terms of service.
1. Locally Stored Data Created by You
Depending on the features you use, the App may store the following information locally on your device:
Enclosure names, pet names, species, sex, birth or acquisition dates, sources, IDs, and photos.
Feeding, hydration, misting, cleaning, environment, lighting, UVB, weight, appetite, excretion, activity, and shedding logs.
Abnormal observation notes, symptom onset dates, veterinary visit records, diagnoses, prescriptions, medications, and follow-up appointment reminders.
Care tasks, notification schedules, completion records, and exported health reports.
Merchant-entered inventory IDs, customer names or contact notes, payment details, sales, and delivery records.
App language, measurement units, interface preferences, daily check-in records, VIP status, and feature settings.
Backup files created, imported, or exported by you.
As a general rule, all the above content is stored locally on your device. We do not automatically upload these care logs to OnlyPets' servers simply because you use the App.
Please do not enter national identification numbers, financial account details, complete residential addresses, human medical data, or other highly sensitive personal information unless necessary. Merchant users should ensure they have a lawful basis for storing customer data and only enter details necessary for completing transactions and deliveries.
When you explicitly select photos, save reports, import backups, or share files, the App accesses your chosen photos or files strictly as required by the feature.
The App will not browse or access your entire photo library without your explicit action.
Camera and microphone access are not required for the current version.
Any content you choose to share or export is processed by your selected system share targets or third-party apps.
3. Notifications and Reminders
If you grant notification permissions, the App creates local reminders on your device for feeding, cleaning, misting, water changes, medication, follow-up visits, UVB expiration, or other care tasks. Notification timing, content, and scheduling are primarily handled by your device's operating system.
The App currently relies on local notifications and does not build user behavioral profiles via remote push notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in the App or device settings.
4. Diagnostics and Technical Logs
The App may generate local error, backup, restore, or transaction state logs on your device to prevent data corruption and assist in recovery. Unless you manually export and provide them to us, these local logs are not automatically transmitted to us.
5. Advertising and Device Identifiers
Official advertising features are currently disabled in this test version. If future releases enable Google AdMob, the App may process the following via the Google Mobile Ads SDK:
Advertising IDs or identifiers generated by the ad SDK.
Approximate location inferred from IP addresses.
Device information, App version, ad requests, impressions, clicks, and error logs.
Information required to prevent fraud, enforce frequency caps, measure ad performance, or serve personalized, non-personalized, or restricted ads based on your consent status.
In applicable regions, we manage ad consent via mechanisms such as the Google User Messaging Platform. Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization on iOS is separate from ad consent; denying tracking permission will not affect the core care features of the App.
If a version submitted to app stores enables advertising, we will update this policy, in-app disclosures, Google Play Data Safety details, and App Store Privacy Labels accordingly.
Paid store features are currently disabled in this version. If VIP subscriptions or ad-free purchases are enabled in the future, payments will be processed directly by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your full credit card details. The App may receive product IDs, transaction statuses, purchase receipts, or entitlement expiration dates to complete purchases, restore purchases, prevent duplicate issuance, and handle post-refund entitlement updates.
Google Drive backup is currently disabled in this version. If enabled in the future, the App will only access its dedicated application folder (appDataFolder) on Google Drive using Google authorization info when you actively log in and choose to back up or restore data.
Google Drive content is governed by Google's own policies. You can revoke authorization through your Google Account settings, or log out and delete cloud backups from within the App once the feature becomes available.
3. Purposes of Data Processing
We process data strictly to the extent necessary to provide App functionality, including:
Storing and displaying reptile, enclosure, and care records.
Creating care reminders, health observation logs, and health reports.
Supporting merchant inventory, sales, and delivery workflows.
Importing, exporting, backing up, and restoring data.
Maintaining the consistency of VIP status, check-in records, or purchase entitlements.
Maintaining App stability, data integrity, and security.
Serving and measuring ads when the feature is enabled and required consent is granted.
Complying with legal requirements, app store policies, and responding to user inquiries.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell the reptile, health observation, or customer delivery data you create in the App.
Data is only processed by the following third parties according to their service purposes when you enable, actively interact with, or utilize relevant features:
Google Play & Apple App Store: Installation, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and entitlement verification.
Google AdMob / Google User Messaging Platform: Ad serving, consent management, performance measurement, and fraud prevention.
Google Drive / Google Sign-In: Cloud backup and restore features initiated by you.
Android & iOS System Services: Notifications, photo picking, file selection, system sharing, and secure storage.
Third-Party Apps Chosen by You: Messaging, email, cloud storage, or social media apps that receive your manually exported content.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect user safety, investigate fraud, or defend our legal rights.
For third-party privacy policies, please refer to:
The App may request the following permissions depending on feature usage:
Notifications: To send care, medication, follow-up, and equipment reminders.
Exact Alarms, Vibration, Boot Completed, & Wake Lock: To maintain user-scheduled local reminders on Android devices.
Photos / Media Selected by User: To attach images to pets and care logs, or to save health reports.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS): Used only if advertising features are enabled and tracking consent is required.
Current Android configurations block access to the camera, microphone, system alert windows, legacy broad storage permissions, and advertising IDs by default. Actual available permissions depend on your App version, device, and operating system.
You may decline non-essential permissions. While features directly dependent on those permissions may become unavailable, core local care logging will remain fully functional.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local Data: Retained until you delete individual records, use the in-app data clear feature, clear App storage, or uninstall the App.
Exported Files: Subject to your chosen storage location and third-party service retention policies.
Google Drive Backups: If enabled, retained until you delete backups, revoke access, or according to Google’s retention policies.
Store Transactions: Retained by Google, Apple, and applicable laws for statutory periods.
Ad Data: If enabled, retained by Google and relevant ad services according to their policies and your consent status.
You can delete individual entries or perform a complete data reset in the App settings. A complete data reset removes all local enclosures, pets, care logs, health observations, merchant data, and settings. Already shared, exported, or third-party cloud-backed copies will not be automatically deleted through this action.
The App currently does not offer native OnlyPets accounts, so there is no centralized account to request deletion for. If account features are introduced in the future, we will provide both in-app and external account deletion mechanisms and update this policy accordingly.
We implement appropriate security measures commensurate with risks, including operating system App sandboxing, local database storage, transactional storage, backup validation, and using system secure storage for authorization tokens where applicable.
However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed 100% secure. The security of unencrypted exported backups, reports, or photos depends on your chosen storage locations, sharing recipients, and third-party services. Please safeguard your device passcode and backup files, and avoid storing sensitive customer information on shared devices.
The App is a general reptile care management tool and is not primarily directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children on our servers. Minors should use features involving personal data, ads, purchases, or external sharing only with the consent and guidance of a parent or legal guardian.
If our target audience expands to include children in the future, we will implement appropriate age-gating and store family policy measures prior to enabling ads.
9. Cross-Border Data Processing
If you use Google, Apple, or other third-party services, relevant data may be processed outside your country or region. These third parties provide protection in accordance with their infrastructure, contracts, and privacy policies. If you do not agree to third-party data processing, please do not enable cloud, ad, purchase, or sharing features.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable laws, you may:
View, edit, or delete records within the App.
Turn off system permissions such as notifications, photos, or tracking.
Reject or adjust advertising consent and tracking choices.
Export and manage your data independently.
Clear all local App data.
Revoke Google Drive or other third-party authorizations.
Submit inquiries regarding this policy or data processing.
Because primary data is stored locally on your device, we generally cannot remotely access, recover, or delete local data that has not been directly provided to us.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as features, third-party services, legal requirements, or store guidelines evolve. We will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and provide appropriate notice via the App, store listing, or official website in the event of material changes.
If you have questions about this policy, data processing, or exercising your privacy rights, please contact us at:
To protect your privacy, please do not send full backup files, customer lists, purchase receipts, or other sensitive information via public comments. We may request relevant version, device, or error details to assist you, but we will never ask for your store passwords or complete payment details.
