As an excellent teacher, I have demonstrated good subject and curriculum knowledge in the following ways:
- I have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, I aim to foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject, and address misunderstandings.

I often encourage pupils to stretch themselves further in their tasks.
- I have demonstrated an understanding of and taken responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English in the subjects.
I came up with the idea of spelling sheets for my pupils. Whenever they needed help with the spelling of a word, I would write it down and then they would write it down several times so that they remembered easily. I witnessed a great positive impact on their spelling skills.(KS1)
