Continuous improvement of a teacher's knowledge and skills is a key characteristic of a great teacher. I am always looking out for opportunities to inform and improve my teacher through insets and development events and activities for teachers and Braeburn schools have made it possible by providing such opportunities for growth and enrichment. I learnt how I can protect a child in the schools and the steps to take if I have child protection concerns.
I gained great insights on how to utilise ICT in the classroom to foster learning and understanding.
The overview and training on the National Curriculum of England were very informative equipping me for the best teaching experience.
The trainer delivered effective and practical tips which are very helpful in managing behaviour in the classroom. For example, I have been using the tactic of being firm and friendly when setting boundaries, giving rewards and sanctions.
As an early years teacher, I additionally studied the EYFS Statutory framework which equipped me with knowledge and skill to work effectively in the early years unit.
I am currently pursuing a foundation course online to teach English as a foreign language to equip me with the knowledge and skills to teach pupils with SEND better.
